HAPPY MOTHER’S DAY… I would love to share this project with you all. It has the faded elegance and all the romance of a bygone era. I dedicate it to all Mums who love to paint.

It’s a pretty simple colour palette consisting of a base coat of Coco Chalk Paint™ by Annie Sloan and a top coat of Old White. Some of you may wonder how I created the large cracks exposing some of the Coco from underneath. Well, I like to use Annie Sloan’s Craqueleur by sometimes mixing it into the paint…

To finish the project I mixed Greek Blue and Paris Grey for some detailing, then I chipped the paintwork to the edges using a palette knife. Once I was happy with the results I clear waxed, then applied a touch of black and white wax mix to add a little more age.
