The first of my UK painting residential course was so much fun and a huge success, and what a wonderful group of ladies with so much talent! We had the pleasure of working in the most idyllic setting in Lincolnshire at Papermill Cottages. Although a little chilly, we were well wrapped up and even managed to work outside in the spring sunshine on occasion.
L to R: Sarah, co-host and owner of Bricktree Gallery, Kath who paints for Reloved in Wragby, yours truly, Terri, Lynley of Bigwood in the Cotswolds, Karen, Jo who runs The Plough at Shepreth, Abigail owner and host at Papermill Cottages and Nicola of Pickled Onion Furniture in Shiplake.
Spending time with supremely talented and like-minded people and working with Chalk Paint™ by Annie Sloan is my idea of heaven. Day One was all about technique, mixing colours with a few mini projects thrown in and Day Two focused on their own projects incorporating techniques they had learned from Day One, alongside staging and photography. Friendships were made, creative ideas exchanged, fabulous food eaten and lots of tips and feedback to help us fine-tune this wonderful format. They all did exceptionally well, don’t you think?
