This French beauty was previously quite worn and pretty much ready for a new lease of life, the wood was very orange in its tone and not really my cup of tea. So it may surprise you that my colour choice for this little project was Honfleur Chalk Paint™ by Annie Sloan with a touch of Graphite to deepen the shade and although you may not see this, it’s because the whole piece had a wonderful wash of Paris Grey equalising the tone. I have also added touches of gold to the detail and the use of my fly spec technique helps add another level of faded grandeur to the whole project.

Oh, and I mustn’t forget, the vintage rose pink on the inside…what do you think? I blended a a simple mix of Emile and Antoinette for a shade both pretty and strong. What do you think?
