Cool serenity – finishing touches for professional furniture painting

I’ve been seeking a little cool serenity in my life and my work recently. Perhaps you can tell with these subtle hint of tones chosen for this elegant piece? A base coat of Chateau Grey with a spritz of Old White through my plant spray creates a sophisticated coastal vibe that wouldn’t look out of place on the Île de Ré. Inside I’ve used Paloma because I love its hazy grey/lilac softness with Olive for the leather insert.

Last week, getting together with all the amazing ladies who paint furniture for a living, reminded me how attention to detail is so important and can add huge value if you are painting to sell, so I hope these little extras inspire you.
