Contour Blending

“CONTOUR BLENDING” no Kardashians here… just a pretty little French side table! This project was completed in Ireland a couple weeks ago, on one of my teaching trips. Contour Blending is a term I use when highlighting and lowlighting the details on the piece of furniture with tone on tone colours. This gives the illusion of shadows in the depths to the piece, creating a look of age and character in a very subtle way. This would also look wonderful on a very flat piece of furniture. Have you been blending colours on your pieces? If so feel free to share x
